Vitestro secures €65 million to accelerate autonomous blood collection technology
Utrecht-based medical robotics scale-up Vitestro has raised approximately €65 million in an oversubscribed Series B funding round to accelerate the international rollout of its autonomous blood collection technology. The investment will support the further development of Vitestro's Aletta® Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device, expand clinical validation, scale manufacturing and prepare the company for commercial deployment across Europe while advancing its U.S. regulatory pathway. The funding round attracted leading healthcare organisations and investors, including Labcorp Venture Fund, Mayo Clinic, Sutter Health, PGGM, Invest-NL and ROM Utrecht Region. The investment marks a major milestone for one of the Utrecht region's fastest-growing HealthTech companies and further strengthens the region's position as a leading European hub for medical robotics, AI and deep technology. The funding will be used to: scale production of the Aletta® Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device; expand clinical studies; prepare for commercial deployment across Europe; advance the company's FDA regulatory pathway in the United States.
